Like it or not, social media isn’t going anywhere. In fact, it is becoming a more permanent and prominent part of our lives and businesses and is particularly important in the very visual world of design. At the first DIFFA BY DESIGN TALKS, marketing and business development strategist Rio Hamilton moderated a panel of social experts for the Battle of the Platforms, a discussion that examined the ways in which Instagram and Tik Tok can be used to leverage exposure and grow your brand. Panelists Christine Vandover, principal and senior project interior designer at HOK; Tom Kligerman, co-founder and partner at Ike Kligerman Barkley; Reeves Connely, Tik Tok personality and graduate architecture student at Pratt; designer Vanessa DeLeon, owner of Vanessa DeLeon Associates; and Matthew P. Krull, social media strategist and influencer at Novita Communications share their experiences with both platforms from business and personal perspectives and offer best practices for building a following.
