The New Zealand-based appliance company Fisher & Paykel dates its origins back to 1934 and has been in the U.S. market for more than 20 years. From it’s showroom at the A&D Building in NYC–it’s first showroom in the U.S.–Paula Smith discusses the breadth of the family of brands that welcomed the DCS outdoor line to its mix in 2004. Smith notes that as the company sits in the premium space of appliances, design and aesthetics are obviously crucial, but performance is always key. The amount of time people spent cooking and baking during the pandemic offered new insight as to how people need their appliances to function and newer Fisher & Paykel products, like wall ovens that offer 17 different functions, answer today’s homeowners’ needs.
